Lou Lou is the founder of The Doll Collective. Found wandering around Berkley Square at 7am after a night of dancing and gin fizz. She could remember nothing except her name! The London papers were full of reports of a mysterious debutante turning heads at every prominent party, but no-one knew from whence she came, making her all the more alluring and intriguing. To help her regain her memory, she started The Doll Collective – a club for fabulous people who appreciate the finer things in life: dancing, jazz, high tea, higher fashion, and, of course, beautiful dolls. In doing so, she hopes that someone can help her stitch together her past, and take her on new adventures to craft an exciting future.
Right now, she’s a blank slate; she needs your help to re-imagine her personality, her place in life and, more importantly, her wardrobe!
Lou Lou is colour printed on cotton with underwear, shoes and a fox stole (the essentials, honey). Stuffing, a silver heart and a unique pouch of embellishments is included in every box, as well as a suggested dress pattern. The material you make the dress up in is up to you – and her, obviously. Let your imagination run wild!

Lovely Kit
Really enjoying making Lou Lou and really nice to receive the extra trimmings to make her truly unique. The doll pieces come beautifully printed on the nice quality fabric. The pieces line up well. I want to do La Rococo next. The only things that could be improved are the instructions. as they are in black and white it can be hard to tell what is being shown in some of the photos. For me especially the instructions about closing the shoulders weren't that clear. luckily there was markings on the fabric which I deciphered where I needed to fold and stitch. I think I've done it right or close to:) Also possibly the addition of a stich line marked on the fabric. The seam allowance is quite small and difficult to follow on my machine (I'm using my machine zipper foot so I can see the seam edge and using the right feed dog as my seam guide)

Love at first sight
When you order at kit online, your first impression is the packaging. My Lou Lou kit came beautifully packaged and I knew immediately that I was not going to be disappointed. Then I openned the box and my creative heart took flight. I've read the instructions and know that there will be no difficulty making my Lou Lou but first I have a few embellishments to add to make her "my" Lou Lou. A beautifully presented, high quality kit!
